Lunch with Daddy!

Today, Benjamin and I went to have a bit of a picnic lunch with this fun guy.....

Benjamin had just woke up from his nap, and apparently someone hadn't slept long enough, ha!

Either that or Daddy had really stinky breath!

Try not to take it too personally Peter :-)

Despite Benjamin needing a bit longer of a nap, it was soooo nice to be outside.  The weather was absolutely gorgeous, perfectly sunny and about 73 degrees.  We ate our lunch while soaking in the rays.

Even though it was supposed to be a quick lunch so Daddy could get back to work, he decided Benjamin needed a little playtime

Truthfully, our little guy could have cared less about playing in the park at that moment but it sure made us excited to be able to take him to the park lots this summer!

After lunch, we made a quick Wal-Mart run and then spent more time outside on our front porch.

We were given a new exersaucer and I was curious whether Benjamin would like it or not.

He really seemed to like it and was quite intense about a lot of the toys on it.

When I was watching him, he seemed to enjoy one area in particular......

I thought it was really cute, until I realized what he was so fixated on....

HA!  My vain little boy.  We will have to have a talk about pride :-)

And doesn't this face just scream attitude to you?  I may be in for it when he gets older!

Luckily though, most of the time I just get his sweet, lovable, happy personality!

Tonight, we went to a birthday party for our friend's one year old girl.  They are moving to Portland soon (so sad!)  I watched 3 of their 4 kids yesterday while they signed papers on their house which made for a crazy, but fun household.  It was such a beautiful night, we wished we could have stayed longer.  While we were there, Benjamin rolled over again 3 more times.  Our friends saw this, but of course Daddy was nowhere to be found.  He was talking to someone around the corner so he has yet to see him roll over despite it happening about 10 times now!  Hopefully soon.  What a beautiful, fun, day.  And tomorrow is Friday!!
