My Birthday!

Whether I wanted it or not, today I turned another year older...I turned 26 and am now closer to 30 than 20.  Lovely!  We celebrated my birthday this past weekend in Portland and The Cheesecake Factory but I still had a great day.  This morning, I woke up to this...

As you can see, I ate the muffin before I thought to document my loot :-)  My husband definitely knows the way to his wifee's heart!

Soon after eating my muffin I went in to get my baby after he woke up.  When I came into his room, I found this...

My two favorite guys had made me some awesome cards.  Peter's card was really sweet and Benjamin's was adorable.

It was a pretty low key morning, Benjamin and I just played and hung out.  I was feeling kind of tired and even a little sickish during lunch so I only ate some toast.  The sick feeling only lasted about an hour though and then I decided to clean my house.  Yes, I decided to clean on my birthday, ha!  I cleaned all afternoon and then found out our small group was canceled.  So we decided to go out for a fun birthday dinner since we now had a free night.  We decided on a place called BoMacks which has amazing BBQ.  We STUFFED, and I mean STUFFED our faces with cornbread, pulled pork, brisket, baked beans, garlic mashed potatoes, mac and cheese and potato salad.  It was awesome.  While we were there we let Benjamin hold our mug of water and he was obsessed.  He frantically tried to drink it and hold it and cried when we finally took it away from him.

After we ate, we stopped by Jeremy & Kristen's to have some bday cake.  We were going to have it with our small group but since that was canceled we sneaked by afterwards to enjoy it with their kiddos.

We got Benjamin to bed and I listened to him sweetly talk himself to sleep.  I'm now kicked back with my wonderful hubby, so thankful for my great family.  It was so wonderful to talk to all my other family throughout the day today too.  It made for a great birthday, I'm a blessed now 26 year old gal :-)
