Okay, it's been a few days since I've blogged, what have we been up to?
The weekend finally came on Friday but unfortunately Peter ended up working until midnight only coming home for a quick dinner. Not exactly the fun Friday night I had planned, but that happens sometimes I guess! So instead, I had a date with a bowl of ice cream and HGTV online after my little big went to bed.
Saturday we spent the morning playing with Benjamin and starting a little bit of the entry way tile project. The previous tile was an off white and not really attractive so when we got some leftover tile at a local store for a super discount we had to jump on it. While Peter's dad was here last week he ripped up all the old tile (thanks again!!) so we started scraping the remaining stuff on the boards so it would be smooth for the backerboard. Haha, listen to me talk as if I know what any of the process really is!
Anyway, we didn't make a ton of progress but Peter got a lot of the boards cut and ready, with cut outs for the vent, etc. Here's a pic of the entry way with the old tile ripped out.
Let's hope I'm not posting a finished project a year from now :-)
We spent the rest of the day half working, half playing and eating leftovers. It was nice.
Sunday was church, and it was fun to see some new families...we had some extra kids in our Sunday school class which was fun! Ben did well in the nursery and even slept for 35 minutes....probably because he's still waking up sometime between 3 and 5am. Anyone have a suggestion on how to remedy that?
We ate leftovers for lunch then decided to take a nap while Benjamin did. That was a GREAT decision. It was wonderful to sleep for about 1 1/2 hours. We played with our little guy, Peter worked on the tile a bit, and then it was time for Ben to go to bed so Peter could watch the Browns game! We started it WAY too late which meant we stayed up WAY too late but it was a fun game, Peter enjoyed it. I'm feeling a bit tired this morning because of the lack of sleep but sometimes it's fun to stay up late.
Okay, okay, on to the part you really want....pictures of my booger.
Here's a few pictures showing why I think my baby will make a great catch someday.
he has legs to DIE for :-)
both he AND his hair are FULL of personality
he'll love to take his lady out to eat because this boy has an appetite!
he's decided he loves mama's homemade vegetable soup. He even smacks his lips between bites, its hilarious!
Despite his legs the size of sequoias, his crazy hair and his intense appetite, he sure can clean up well. He looked pretty cute before church yesterday even if he pretty much refused to look at the camera. At least he has a cute profile :-)
Off to go read stories to my baby before his nap!
