Family 4th of July

Last night we got home from our weekend trip to Idaho to visit with our families.  We took off Friday night after VBS so we didn't get in to my parents place until 2:30 in the morning.  Benjamin did great on the drive though and I was SO glad when we finally got there.
At 9:00am on Saturday morning Auntie Amanda and Grandfather couldn't wait for Benjamin to wake up on his own so they woke him up, ha!  Let's just say he was entertained, held and doted on from that moment on.  He was sooo good and secretly loved the attention I think.
Here's a few pictures of all the lovin' and fun times he had!
Snuggling with Grandma!

Checking out the rice cereal Auntie Amanda bought him.....not yet though!!

No, Benjamin wasn't sad Grandfather was holding him.  It's just that every time Benjamin was even a tiny bit fussy Grandfather picked him up, said "what's the matter" and proceeded to make sure he was smiling and happy again.  Sucker!

See what I mean?  Ha!

Benjamin and Auntie Amanda played together for so long!

Then they watched baby videos on youtube!

There were always some loving Grandma arms to be found whenever he needed a catnap

I kinda think his great grandma likes him

Staredown between Benjamin and Uncle Adam!

Meeting cousin Alexander for the first time!  Both look sooo different but both are soooo cute!

Storytime with (Aunt) Hannah!

Falling asleep with my Uncle Aaron

Despite how hard he tried not to show it, Uncle Aaron loves the little booger

Yet another nap in Grandma's arms

Benjamin slept SO good on the trip, I was so excited.  And last night he slept from 10:30 to 8:00!!!!!!

Watching the fishies!

Chewing on the teether Auntie Amanda bought me!

He was a wee bit happy to be the center of attention!

he definitely did not need his mama to make him happy on this weekend!

Did I mention that Auntie Amanda entertained him well????

Get it Benjamin!

Mama doesn't want to think about him being old enough to drive!

Learning to eat my toes with Grandma

Oh how these two LOVED each other

And did I mention he had a few people to play with him?

Tummy time bonding with Alexander and Uncle Alan

It really is a shame that these two don't like each other!  HA!

As if 1 Great Grandma, 1 Grandma, 1 Grandfather, 1 Auntie Amanda, 3 Uncles, 2 soon to be Aunts and 1 cousin wasn't enough........

we also got to spend half the weekend with Peter's family!!!  Off to see GongGong and Poppy!

Enjoying a 4th of July concert in the park!

Great find on the pinwheel Poppy....it entertained him for the longest time!

A rare moment when the grandparents were watching the concert and not the little guy!!

An even MORE rare moment where mama actually got to hold her baby!

We had a picnic BBQ in a beautiful park on Saturday night but I'm dumb and didn't take any pictures.  It was just beautiful though and was nice to get out and enjoy the evening.....and the s'more :-)

GongGong getting me all ready for bed after my bath!

You have to have storytime at GongGong's house!

Benjamin had a blast showing off all his latest skills and babbles to his Poppy and GongGong.  I think they were a little sad to see him go....considering Poppy tried to steal his Paci and Floppy in hopes that we'd have to come back.  I'm well trained though and don't leave for anywhere without them :-)  He'll be back soon though.....he loves it at your house!

We went back to spend some more time getting doted on by Grandma and Grandfather and Auntie Amanda before we had to head off back to Oregon.  I'm pretty sure Auntie Amanda cried all day on Tuesday....that's okay though, Benjamin was super sad too and can't wait to see you again in 2 weeks or so!!!!
It was a great trip, we sure love our families don't we Benjamin??
Yep, we sure do!
