Trick or Treat 2011

I really did have good intentions of posting these pictures earlier this week, but......well, I didn't.  Sorry for the delay grandparents, here they are!

Sunday night we had a Harvest Festival at our church complete with chili, a pie auction, games for the kids and a concert for the adults.  It's always great to spend fun times with our friends from church.  We decided to let Benjamin dress up like a cowboy to get in the harvest spirit :-)  I must say....I know I'm biased, but he was a stinkin cute little sheriff!

We had the vest in our dress-up clothes box, the hat came from GongGong and Poppy awhile back, and the boots were hand me downs from friends!
 an adorable little wrangler!
he was practicing tipping his hat for the ladies :-)
apparently this drunk lookin' cowboy has already had too much milk and the party hadn't even started!

We had a great time at the Harvest Party and Benjamin was wired when he came home.  Older kids were just giving (sneaking!) him candy left and right.  It was quite amusing to watch his energy.

sugar, sugar, sugar!

Eventually he crashed on the diaper changing table........

but not without a few more bouts of craziness!

there was a lot of loud noises/squeals involved with this diaper change!
all too happy to show off his muscles
soooo proud of his fine physique :-)

It was a great night!  The next day we had dinner with the Zderads and Benjamin got to go trick-or-treating with his friends Elijah, Haddie and Micah.  Of course, it started raining (downpouring!) as soon as we started but we still had fun.  Benjamin loooved going door to door saying "trick or treat".  The only problem was, after someone would hand him a candy, we would say "Benjamin, what do you say?"  And sometimes he would say thank you....other times he would say "Another one!!"  Oh boy.  He also took forever to choose which candy he wanted out of their choices.  He kills me.

Benjamin the dragon and Micah the bat!
(I had got his costume at a garage sale over the summer for $3, yippee!!)
Benjamin, Micah, Haddie and Elijah heading for some more treats!
his little tail was so cute!
he refused to let go of his Elmo candy bucket.  Absolutely refused, it was quite funny.

Despite the crazy, insane rain.....which of course, later stopped for the whole rest of the evening once we got back inside.....we had a great time.  It was fun to see Benjamin understand more this year and we enjoyed being with our friends.  We love our cute little dragon :-)
