It was a fun day today! The kids didn't sleep in a ton but that's just how it goes! Anita put me to shame and went for a walk in the morning so I helped get the kids breakfast while Mandy slept. They played together for a little while afterward until we packed everybody up and headed to the Tarp Park.!
It was a wonderfully comfortable day, a tiny bit windy, but so lovely. Katie and Jack loved riding their bikes, Ben loved walking around picking up bark and rocks and Mandy rode along happily in the stroller. Of course you know that between Anita and I we took 7,435 pictures but they were so cute :-)
We came home for lunch then put the kids down for a nap. Ben slept a little better which was nice! In the afternoon we hung around the house since the landlord was coming over to fix a few things, so we played a lot of "please don't mess up the house by dumping all your toys" games :-) There was a lot of "Aunt April Says", jumping over packages of wipes or your toes would turn into grapes, and hiding "hot chocolate" which the two little leopards (Katie & Jack) had to find over and over somewhere in the house. It was sooo much fun playing with them though because they were so into all the games and I just love being their Auntie :-)
We ate dinner, then went outside so the kids could once again play with pudding paint!!! They really enjoyed getting to paint, and EAT, with the paint.

The next natural step is BATHTIME!! 3 little chubs in the tub (even 4 for a quick picture) made for lots of water and lots of fun.
Then it was storytime and then BEDTIME! The kids were good today but we were both giddy that it was 8:00, ha. Is that bad? Anita baked up some chocolate chip cookies (I both loved her and hated her for this) so I may have had to eat a few while we're just kicking back and enjoying some down time. It's been so fun to hang out with Anita this week, she's a great friend and sister and we're having fun!
